A product of Taiwan, this flavorful garlic bean paste has it all—sweet and spicy with intense umami. It serves as an effortless way to create a variety of authentic tasting Asian dishes, sauces, marinades and dressings. I am using it primarily for seasoning rice noodles, fried rice and brushed on salmon fillets during cooking and it is delicious on all. I also plan to try it as a hot dipping sauce.

I used this sauce to make a marinade for a tofu pasta dish. The flavor was very garlic forward but delicious. The background flavors were a savory blend with a touch of heat.
The sauce was not completely smooth and was a little oily. It is a similar color as traditional BBQ sauce.
You get a little over a cup of sauce in a bag. It says to refrigerate after opening although I used all of it at once.
